It is my goal to provide evidence-based care from a culturally competent lens. I can do this by; leaning on my professional experience as a retired fire captain of twenty years, formal education, ongoing work with fire service professionals, and lived experience. It is also my objective to learn from others that work within the psychology/therapy field and the fire service who are culturally competent clinicians. By doing this, it is my hope to establish professional connections, gain further insight and education, and ultimately become a sound and exceptional clinician helping those in the fire service. All while promoting psychology in the fire service to help our firefighters/emts, so I may give back to the community who has given me so much.
