About the Fire Service Psychology Association (FSPA)

The Fire Service Psychology Association (FSPA) is a national, IRS‑recognized 501(c)(30) nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing evidence‑based psychological health, resilience, and performance within the fire service and emergency response professions.

FSPA connects psychologists, researchers, clinicians, fire service leaders, peer‑support professionals, and behavioral‑health practitioners to improve outcomes related to:

  • Occupational stress and trauma exposure
  • PTSD, depression, anxiety, and suicide prevention
  • Leadership decision‑making under stress
  • Organizational culture and resilience
  • Family and relational health in the fire service

The Challenge: Access to Expertise

Many of the most qualified experts in fire service psychology—including clinicians, researchers, and seasoned practitioners—work in environments that do not fund professional travel or conference participation. As a result, cost barriers prevent high‑quality presenters from sharing critical knowledge with the fire service community.

Sponsorship support directly removes these barriers, ensuring that the 2026 FSPA Conference features the strongest possible educational content for first responders nationwide.

Sponsorship Opportunity: Presenter Access & Education Support

FSPA invites organizations to sponsor Presenter Access Scholarships, which underwrite travel and lodging costs for selected presenters whose work directly supports firefighter and first responder behavioral health.

Sponsorship funds are used exclusively for:

  • Economy airfare or ground transportation
  • Conference‑rate lodging
  • Per‑diem travel expenses (per FSPA policy)

Funds are awarded by FSPA, not paid directly to individuals, ensuring compliance with nonprofit and sponsor requirements.
