Review of Job Analysis Information

Thank you for your investment in our beloved fire service. Your involvement in this process will help us understand nationwide recruitment and retention practices. We will use the information to develop a psychological screening tool to assist fire department leaders in hiring and retaining their ideal candidates.

At this stage in our research, we will identify themes within job analysis resource documents such as position descriptions, de-identified disciplinary action reports, fitness for duty reports, and internal affairs investigations from fire service and EMS agencies. This will allow us to capture psychological dynamics and challenges from which we can infer traits. We will use the information to list psychologically relevant job functions, job demands, and performance problems related to firefighting/EMS.

Your participation is vital to the success of this project. The uploaded files will remain confidential and used only for these research purposes.
