For the last 10 years I have worked as an embedded psychologist with Bend Fire & Rescue in Oregon.  This contract has me in the stations weekly riding along for calls and crew trainings. My regular presence helps build trust to facilitate individual support, defusing/debriefing, referrals to therapy and trainings.  In my private practice I offer therapy to first responders and medical professionals.  There are many first responder mental health organizations; FSPA is the first I have found to offer connection, training and facilitate consultation opportunities.  I am excited to learn more about how others are engaged and develop improved methods to improve wellness in my agency and others.
