I am an early career psychologist with an enthusiastic interest in working with public safety professionals and organizations. I currently work as a Licensed Psychologist at the VA collaborating with our First Responder Suicide Prevention program. I have conducted preemployment psychological evaluations and critical incident debriefings with SMA with short-term goals of beginning fitness for duty evaluations. Prior to this, I was working with my mentor conducting organizational evaluations of wellness programs and cultural/leadership challenges within agencies. I have experience working with Fire, EMS, Communications/Dispatch, and local/state/federal law enforcement agencies in various capacities.

By joining FSPA, I hope to learn more about the organizational challenges faced by Fire/EMS and attain a better understanding of how psychologists operate within these agencies. My goal is to provide support in the future via consultation, evaluation, and operational support after connecting with established professionals who may offer mentorship and guidance in competently navigating this area of public safety. Additionally, I maintain an active interest in publishing articles, publishing research, and presenting at conferences regarding relevant issues pertaining to psychologists and public safety as a means of advocacy.
