Whether you are a Psychologist, Mental Health Provider, or Fire Department Leader, we welcome you to our page.

Firefighters have a unique culture and are exposed to cumulative trauma over the course of their careers. Few psychologists understand the needs of this population and a small amount fire departments include the valuable resources that professional psychology can offer.

The Fire Service Psychology Association was developed to bridge the gap between these two professions by empowering mental health providers through cultural competence, demonstrating the value of professional psychology in the fire service, as well as building a psychological research foundation.

Our vision is to develop the best standard of psychological care for firefighters and their families.
